WATCH | Anderson .Paak – “Silicon Valley / Carry Me” (Live)

Look, man. We can’t exclaim enough about Anderson .Paak over here. Everyone affiliated with the site rocks with him heavy, and I’m hoping that Malibu ages well, because I would love to call it a classic in a few years. That being said, we’re far too early into the life cycle of the project to make those claims.

However, when there’s live performances like this, it’s easier to think that we’ll get there one day. I got the chance to see .Paak live as he opened for Earl Sweatshirt in Birmingham, AL. (who is a dope live performer, by the way), and he won the crowd over off his energy alone. Now it seems that energy isn’t enough for him; he’s hopping off microphones to play drums simultaneously now?

All jokes aside, he’s done this a few times, but for his first live performance, he seemed extremely comfortable. Stephen Colbert continues to put on for the culture, and .Paak and The Free Nationals did their thing. Check it out above, and if you haven’t listened to Malibu yet, you NEED to fix that by clicking on our review up top.
